Technical Ceramics
Ceramic-compatible design
When using engineering ceramics, their specific properties are taken into account right from the design phase.
Simply replacing metal components with ceramic ones is usually not the best approach, as the unique properties of ceramics must be taken into account in order to fully leverage their advantages. On the other hand, adapting the design of the component to be replaced—especially in conjunction with the rest of the structure—generally yields the desired result.
Of course, it is best if the use of ceramic materials for critical components can be incorporated right from the design phase.
Design considerations for ceramics, forexample: factors such as the type of stress and surface finish determine the effective balance between cost and function. Given the wide range of applications, the diverse properties of ceramic materials are taken into account. The focus of our design work is on individual projects and small-batch production.
Engineering
In the initial stages, we work with customers and prospective clients to develop technical solutions tailored to a wide range of environmental conditions.
For example, they are determined by the medium, the temperature, and the dynamic and static loads. Similarly, the choice of materials is tailored to the specific applications.
